Hello!!!

Welcome!!

I’m a woman on a quest to discover all things health & wellness. I’m not satisfied being a part of the status quo! I love to explore alternative ways of thinking & doing things, natural health, whole-real food, fitness & everything else that keeps me crunchy!! Also, *warning* I am a rambler so this blog may take a rabbit trail or two talking about what ever is on my mind for the day. Random: I’m dreaming about going to Alaska, I started doing triathlons at 47, I used way too many capital letters and exclamation points when i write and I love to ride my bike alone in the rain  🙂

So, Join me for a walk down the road less traveled,

Melody

Doctor of Naturopathy: The word “doctor” comes from the Latin word ‘docere’ meaning ‘to teach.’ Naturopaths teach natural ways to enhance good health, optimal wellness, and encourage longevity. The Naturopathic approach is holistic and focuses on maintaining wellness with an emphasis on disease prevention. I emphasize creating a lifestyle which includes pure water, proper diet and nutrition, exercise, appropriate rest, right thinking, absence from toxic substances, effective management of stress, and a number of other natural practices which lead to the balanced living concept. I believe that physical health is primarily (but not always) a reflection of God’s universal law of cause and effect. How we care for our bodies is both a physical and spiritual issue that impacts our health. In my opinion, the way to a life a wellness is for the body to restore its own protective mechanisms by removing physical and spiritual roadblocks that hinder restoration and/or healing by working to build immunity, improve spiritual and mental health, and enhance overall body functions.
